Angioleiomyofibroma of the tricuspid valve: the case of diagnosis and surgical treatment

The article presents clinical case of a rare cardiac tumor – angioleiomyofibroma of the right ventricle, which is a mature histioid teratomas. The need to comply to the principle of radical surgical treatment and involvement of the tricuspid valve structures in the neoplastic process caused need in valve replacement. The main method of angioleiomyofibroma diagnosis is complex echocardiography, making possible to determine localization of the tumor, its form, dimensions, relation to intracardial structures and hemodynamic disorders. Pathohistological study of the material of the tumor is a necessary part of the differential diagnosis, determining further treatment.
