The article presents new non-invasive method of the evaluation of coronary artery disease – 320-row CT angiography. It is characterized by high diagnostic value in evaluation of the coronary arteries. The registration of the views and analysis of the parameters are performed during only one cardiac cycle. It makes possible to perform the study quickly, with short breath delay, small quantity of the contrast and low radiation exposure. Due to the volume visualisation there are no stepped artefacts. The method reflects anatomy along with perfusion.
Key word: coronary arteries, aterosclerosis, computer tomographic angiography.
