The 2017 EACTS Guidelines on perioperative medication in adult cardiac surgery address such aspects of perioperative management of cardiosurgical patients, as: antithrombotic therapy; prevention and treatment of postoperative atrial fibrillation; the use of renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system inhibitors, β-adrenergic blockers and steroids; dyslipidemia management; prevention of gastrointestinal and infectious complications; perioperative analgesia and glycemic control.
