Acute infective endocarditis remains a therapeutic problem with high mortality. We described a rare case of complicated infective endocarditis with primary damage of aortic valve and expansion of infection to mitral-aortic fibrosa and anterior mitral leaflet with formation of pseudoaneurysms and fistula. Transthoracic echocardiography allowed to specify all anatomic lesions and to make correct decision about the term and extent of surgery. Surgical correction consisted of mitral-aortic fibrosa reconstruction, mitral valve repair and prosthetic aortic valve implantation.
Key words: infective endocarditis, echocardiography, surgical correction
