Management of antithrombotic therapy in atrial fibrilltion patients presenting with acute coronary syndrome and/or undergoing percutaneous coronary or valve interventions: a joint consensus document of the European Society of Cardiology Working Group on Thrombosis, European Heart Rhythm Association, European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions and European Association of Acute Cardiac Care
Consensus guidelines regarding management of patients with atrial fibrillation (AF), acute coronary syndrome and after transcutaneous coronary intervention / stenting are presented. Anticoagulant therapy in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation includes bitamin K antagonists in well-controlled dosages or new peroral anticoagulants. The necessity to evaluate stroke risk in patients with AF (using CHA2DS2-VASc scale) and hemorrhagic risk (by HAS-BLED scale) is emphasized.
Кey words: atrial fibrillation, acute coronary syndrome, oral anticoagulants, primary percutaneous coronary intervention
