Takotsubo cardiomyopathy with severe obstruction of the left ventricular outflow tract

The clinical case of treatment of female patient with poor studied and rare pathology – Takotsubo cardiomyopathy – is presented. The results of ECG, echocardiography, coronary angiography, as well as treatment with beta-blocker esmolol are presented. According to the authors, this is the first case of Takotsubo cardiomyopathy with significant left ventricular outflow tract gradient, low blood pressure and pulmonary edema which has been treated by beta-blockers.
