The аim – to analyze existing methods for the introduction of stem cells to patients with end-stage heart failure. Classical approaches to the treatment of heart failure are not always effective. Therefore, the world is looking for alternative methods of treating heart failure and one such method is cell therapy. However, the use of stem cells opens new questions, one of which is to choose the method of delivery of stem cells into the targeted area. So in this review we analyzed possible ways of introduction of stem cells during the treatment of ischemic heart disease and chronic heart failure. We have demonstrated the strengths and weaknesses of each method of stem cell transplantation. However, despite variety of existing routes of administration today, the choice of optimal method for each situation remains a problem. So there positive and negative aspects of usage the existing routes of administration must be evaluated individually for each patient.
