Due to the embarrassing events of the Russian armed aggression against Ukraine in 2022 passed completely unnoticed, without which the colossal breakthrough that took place in medical science thanks to a person whose name has become just an icon in modern transplantology could not have happened. We are talking about the 100th anniversary of the birth of the world-famous heart surgeon Dr. Christiaan Barnard.
